It is said that if you place a natural stone near your body or in your room it would absorb the negative energies. It is a good idea to recharge the power of the stone by purifying and taking care of it regularly with a feeling of gratitude on a daily basis. |
Sunbathing | |
This method involves placing the stone under the morning sun for about an hour. It's okay if the sunlight doesn't directly hit the stone. Placing the stone by the window where it is bright with sunlight is sufficient. |
Moonlight bathing | |
Moonlight during the period between the new moon and the full moon is ideal, with the full-moon night being the most effective. Avoid nights when the moon is waning. This method is perfect for purifying stones related to the moon, such as rose quartz, amethyst, and moonstone. |
Placing on stone cluster
This method involves placing your stone on or by a crystal or amethyst cluster for about 1 to 3 days. |
Washing under flowing water
The ideal way is to place your stone under clean, flowing spring water, but you can also use mineral water or tap water instead. Hold your stone and put it under flowing water, then wipe it dry with a soft cloth. *Not suitable for calcite, citrine, celestite, turquoise, malachite, lapis lazuli, and crack quartz. |
Using salt | |
Place natural salt in a container and place your stone on top or bury it with the salt. You can also place the stone in mineral water prepared with dissolved natural salt. Leave the stone on/in the salt or in the salt solution for a full day. *Not suitable for glossy stones, such as turquoise, malachite, calcite, and opal. |
Smoking with incense | |
Use dried herbs or sage leaves to make incense and smoke your stone. Beware that oil-based incense can make the stone cloudy. |
Natural stones have individually different conditions. You should try various methods to find the perfect one for purifying your stone. |
